 ACE Showcase - 12/1/24

The familiar sounds of the ACE Showcase theme music echo through the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World, as James Graham and Commissioner Conway Marshall welcome fans to another exciting episode of ACE Showcase.

James Graham:

“Welcome, wrestling fans, to another action-packed edition of ACE Showcase! I’m James Graham alongside Commissioner Conway Marshall, and we are live from the beautiful ESPN Wide World of Sports here at Walt Disney World!”

Conway Marshall:

“That’s right, James! We’ve got two huge semifinals tonight to determine who will fight for the number one contendership to the ACE Television Title at Parade of Champions! And it all starts right now with our first matchup of the night!”

The upbeat music of Asombrosa hits, and the crowd comes alive as the masked luchador sprints onto the stage. With an energetic display of flips and poses, he high-fives fans on his way to the ring, hyping up the crowd.

James Graham:

“Asombrosa brings an unmatched energy and a high-flying style that’s a fan favorite here in ACE!”

The tone shifts as Wild Stallion Cody Montana’s entrance music blares through the arena. The rugged cowboy from Wyoming steps out, adjusting his wide-brimmed hat with a cocky grin. He’s followed by his mentor, Slim Elroy, who smirks at the fans while chomping on a toothpick.

Conway Marshall:

“Cody Montana’s got the size, power, and that no-good gambler Slim Elroy in his corner. You can bet they’ve got some dirty tricks up their sleeves.”

The bell rings, and Asombrosa starts the match at lightning speed, using his agility to dart around Montana, landing quick strikes and dazzling Lucha Libre moves. A springboard arm drag sends Montana sprawling to the mat, followed by a standing moonsault for an early two-count.

Montana eventually catches Asombrosa mid-springboard, slamming him down with a powerslam to turn the tide. Using his strength and brawling style, Montana takes control with hard strikes, a big backbreaker, and a running shoulder tackle for a near fall.

Asombrosa begins to rally, using his quickness to avoid Montana’s heavy attacks. He hits a series of Lucha-inspired moves, including a flying headscissors and a hurricanrana that sends Montana to the outside. Asombrosa follows up with a jaw-dropping tope con hilo over the top rope, crashing into Montana and bringing the crowd to its feet.

James Graham:

“Asombrosa’s showing us why he’s one of the most exciting athletes in ACE!”

Just as Asombrosa rolls Montana back into the ring and prepares to finish him, Slim Elroy gets involved, distracting the referee. This moment allows Montana to recover and land a low blow on Asombrosa, unseen by the official.

Montana capitalizes, pulling Asombrosa to the ropes and delivering his devastating Hangman Rope DDT. He covers for the 1-2-3 at 8:47, stealing the victory.

Conway Marshall:

“Come on! Montana couldn’t get the job done without Slim Elroy sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong!”

Montana rolls out of the ring, celebrating on the outside with Elroy. Slim smirks, raising Montana’s arm as the cowboy taunts the booing crowd.

Inside the ring, Asombrosa lies clutching his neck, frustrated by the underhanded tactics but still drawing cheers from the fans for his valiant effort.

James Graham:

“Wild Stallion Cody Montana is moving on to Parade of Champions, but not without controversy! Asombrosa gave it everything he had, but Slim Elroy’s interference made the difference.”

Conway Marshall:

“This kid’s got talent, no doubt about it, but aligning himself with Slim Elroy is a disgrace. He’d better watch his back at Parade of Champions—this kind of behavior always comes back around.”

The camera lingers on Montana and Elroy celebrating at the top of the ramp before fading to the night’s first commercial break.

The scene cuts backstage to the catering area, where Gentleman Geoffrey Hastings is dressed impeccably as usual, carefully preparing a plate of food with an air of refinement. He inspects a sandwich with mild distaste, raising an eyebrow, and reaches for a cup of coffee to accompany his meal.

Enter Sammy Vice, sauntering into the frame, his flashy Miami style on full display with a colorful blazer, gold chains, and sunglasses. He glances at the spread on the catering table and sneers in mock disgust.

Sammy Vice:

“Look at this spread—cheap sandwiches, stale chips, and this sorry excuse for coffee? This isn’t coffee, Hastings. This is… dishwater. You ever had real Cuban coffee, huh? I doubt it, judging by your suit. Looks like it came off a clearance rack at a discount store!”

Gentleman Geoffrey Hastings straightens his tie, refusing to dignify Vice’s antics with an immediate response.

Hastings:

“Mr. Vice, your penchant for tacky insults is as predictable as your garish wardrobe. Kindly take your tasteless commentary elsewhere.”

Sammy Vice smirks, stepping closer to Hastings with a mischievous glint in his eye.

Sammy Vice:

“You know what? You’re right. I will take it elsewhere… but first, let me fix this coffee.”

With that, Vice grabs the cup of coffee from Hastings’ hand and unceremoniously throws it into his face!

Hastings staggers back, momentarily blinded, but his demeanor shifts from calm to furious. He lunges at Vice, tackling him into the catering table, sending sandwiches, plates, and coffee cups flying everywhere.

James Graham (voiceover):

“Sammy Vice just crossed the line! Gentleman Geoffrey Hastings isn’t going to take that lying down!”

The two exchange punches, with Hastings landing a hard right hand that sends Vice reeling into a stack of folding chairs. Vice grabs a nearby tray and swings it wildly, narrowly missing Hastings, who counters by shoving Vice into a beverage cooler.

The commotion draws a crowd of wrestlers and backstage staff, all shouting and trying to break up the fight. Vice grabs a handful of coleslaw from a platter and hurls it at Hastings, who responds by slamming Vice onto a catering cart, toppling it over.

Conway Marshall (voiceover):

“This is absolute chaos backstage! Somebody’s gotta break this up before it gets even uglier!”

Just as Hastings grabs a coffee urn and threatens to pour it over Vice’s head, a team of ACE security guards rushes in to separate the two. Hastings struggles against the guards, his usually calm demeanor replaced by uncharacteristic rage.

Hastings:

“You uncultured swine! You’ll regret that, Vice! Mark my words!”

Sammy Vice, disheveled but still smirking, adjusts his sunglasses and brushes off his jacket.

Sammy Vice:

“Relax, Geoffrey! Maybe next time you’ll learn to lighten up—literally!”

As Vice is escorted away by security, he blows a sarcastic kiss at Hastings, who glares daggers at him.

James Graham (voiceover):

“This skirmish between Sammy Vice and Gentleman Geoffrey Hastings just got personal. Throwing coffee in Hastings’ face? That’s a new low, even for Sammy Vice!”

Conway Marshall (voiceover):

“And I have a feeling this is far from over. Hastings isn’t the type to let something like this slide. Vice may have poked the wrong bear.”

The camera lingers on Hastings, seething and wiping coffee off his face, as we cut back to the arena.

The Shadows, clad in their ominous black-and-gray gear, stand in the ring, skulking in the shadows as the crowd murmurs in anticipation. Suddenly, the booming tribal drums of the Samoan Warriors’entrance music reverberate through the arena.

James Graham (voiceover):

“The Shadows may already regret stepping into the ring with Kimo and Tua tonight. These two Samoan powerhouses are on a mission to dominate.”

The crowd reacts with a mix of awe and jeers as Kimo and Tua storm down the ramp, their imposing frames illuminated by fiery torches along the stage. They climb into the ring, their faces painted in traditional Samoan patterns, and pound their chests before letting out a primal war cry.

As the bell rings, Kimo starts the match for the Samoan Warriors, immediately overpowering one of the Shadows with a vicious shoulder tackle. Kimo’s raw strength dominates the early exchanges, as he tosses his opponent across the ring like a rag doll.

The Shadows, true to their sneaky nature, quickly resort to underhanded tactics, including eye rakes and hidden tags, to maintain an advantage. They manage to isolate Kimo for a brief moment, double-teaming him and using quick switches to keep a fresh man in the ring.

However, the momentum swings back when Tua receives the hot tag. He charges into the ring like a freight train, flattening both members of the Shadows with devastating clotheslines. Tua hoists one Shadow onto his shoulders and delivers a thunderous Samoan Drop, then drags him into their corner.

Kimo tags back in, climbs to the second rope, and leaps off with a massive diving headbutt. The Samoan Warriors then finish things off with their signature tag team maneuver, The Island Impact—a double Samoan Drop on one of the Shadows.

James Graham (voiceover):

“There’s no stopping Kimo and Tua! The Samoan Warriors just put the entire tag team division on notice!”

Conway Marshall (voiceover):

“They didn’t just win—they sent a message, and I think the Nigerian Hit Squad and Chaos Riders are paying attention.”

Winner: The Samoan Warriors by pinfall at 6:27.

As their music plays, the Samoan Warriors grab microphones. Kimo paces menacingly in the ring, while Tua stands with his arms crossed, glaring into the camera.

Kimo:

“Nigerian Hit Squad! You think you can stand toe-to-toe with us next week? You think you’ve got what it takes to survive the Samoan storm?!”

Tua:

“You’re nothing but a speed bump on our way to domination. We’re not just gonna beat you—we’re gonna destroy you!”

The crowd boos loudly, but the Warriors remain unfazed.

Kimo:

“And when we’re done with you, Chaos Riders, we’re coming for you. Your so-called ‘legacy’ will crumble under the weight of the Samoan Dynasty!”

The Warriors drop their mics and perform another tribal war cry before exiting the ring. The camera cuts to James Graham and Conway Marshall at ringside.

James Graham:

“A bold statement from the Samoan Warriors. But next week, they’ll have to prove it against the Nigerian Hit Squad in the Tag Team Contenders Semifinals!”

Conway Marshall:

“And you know the Chaos Riders are watching this closely. The Warriors are one step closer to proving they’re the dominant team in ACE!”

The screen transitions to a promo for next week’s Marquee as we head to commercial.

The camera cuts to backstage where Shania Wheatley, looking polished and composed, stands with a mic in hand. Beside her is Ambassador Patrick Ford, who exudes confidence in his tailored navy-blue suit with his signature American flag lapel pin.

Shania Wheatley:

“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here with Ambassador Patrick Ford, who is moments away from his semifinal match against the Russian Riot, Nikita Petrov. Ambassador, the Foreign Legion is notorious for their underhanded tactics, and tonight, you’re stepping into the ring with one of their most dangerous members. What’s your mindset heading into this high-stakes match?”

Ford takes a breath, his diplomatic demeanor shining through as he nods.

Patrick Ford:

“Shania, I’ve always believed that greatness isn’t measured by the shortcuts you take, but by the principles you uphold along the way. Nikita Petrov represents the very worst of what’s out there—brute force, intimidation, and dishonesty—and he’s backed by the conniving Foreign Legion. But tonight, I’m here to remind everyone that there is a right way to achieve success. A fair way. An honorable way.”

The crowd cheers audibly from the arena as Ford continues.

Patrick Ford:

“As an Ambassador, I dedicated my career to representing what’s just and fair for this great country. And now, as an ACE superstar, that mission hasn’t changed. Tonight, I’ll show that strength doesn’t come from brute force alone—it comes from standing up for what’s right, even when the odds are against you. Nikita Petrov and the Foreign Legion may have their tricks, but I have something they don’t: the support of the fans and a resolve they can’t break.”

Ford pauses, looking directly into the camera.

Patrick Ford:

“Petrov, tonight isn’t just another match—it’s a statement. A statement that the right way, the fair way, is still the American way. And after I’m done with you, Cody Montana, I’ll see you at Marquee for a Contenders Match.”

Ford gives a confident nod, and Shania closes the segment.

Shania Wheatley:

“Strong words from Ambassador Patrick Ford. Will he back them up in the ring? Let’s find out!”

The camera cuts back to the arena, where Ford’s entrance music, a patriotic instrumental version of “America the Beautiful,” plays. Ford walks out in his wrestling gear, a red, white, and blue robe over his shoulders, waving a small American flag to the delight of the crowd.

James Graham (voiceover):

“Ambassador Patrick Ford has been a symbol of hope for the ACE fans, but tonight, he faces a colossal challenge in Nikita Petrov.”

Ford enters the ring, handing the flag to a ringside attendant before saluting the crowd.

Next, the arena dims, and Nikita Petrov’s ominous Russian-themed entrance music plays. Petrov stomps down the ramp, flanked by the calculating Anastasia, who directs him with an icy glare. Petrov carries the Russian flag over his shoulder, taunting the crowd with it as boos rain down.

Conway Marshall (voiceover):

“Nikita Petrov isn’t here to make friends, Graham. With Anastasia in his corner and the Foreign Legion lurking in the background, Patrick Ford is stepping into enemy territory.”

As the bell rings, Petrov wastes no time imposing his will, using his size and strength to overpower Ford with heavy forearms and thunderous slams. He backs Ford into a corner, delivering vicious shoulder thrusts that leave Ford gasping for air.

Ford tries to counter with quick footwork and technical counters, but a well-timed distraction from Anastasia allows Petrov to regain control with a crushing double ax handle to the back.

Petrov slows the pace, using a series of power moves to wear Ford down, including a punishing backbreaker and a gut-wrench suplex. He locks Ford in a Russian Bear Hug, shaking him like a rag doll as the crowd rallies behind the Ambassador.

James Graham (voiceover):

“Ford’s in a bad spot here! That bear hug could spell the end for the Ambassador!”

Ford feeds off the crowd’s energy and slowly breaks the hold, landing a series of elbow strikes to Petrov’s head. He ducks under a massive Russian Sickle, causing Petrov to stumble, and capitalizes with a series of rapid-fire strikes.

The momentum shifts as Ford hits a beautiful spinning neckbreaker and climbs to the second rope, delivering a double axe handle of his own. Petrov staggers to his feet, and Ford catches him off guard with his finisher, the Sanction Stunner, planting him in the center of the ring.

Conway Marshall (voiceover):

“The Sanction Stunner connects! This could be it!”

Ford hooks the leg, and the referee counts the pinfall at 11:42, securing his spot in the contenders’ match against Cody Montana.

As Ford celebrates his hard-fought victory, the crowd boos loudly as Cael Gardner storms down the ramp, his ACE Television Title slung over his shoulder. Gardner slides into the ring, joining Petrov and Anastasia as they corner Ford, looking to attack.

Before they can strike, Judge Joe Ridge’s music hits, and the crowd erupts as Ridge sprints to the ring with a determined look. He slides in, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Ford, ready to fight off the Foreign Legion.

Gardner, Petrov, and Anastasia back off, shouting threats as they retreat up the ramp. Ridge raises Ford’s arm triumphantly as the crowd cheers for the two heroes standing tall in the ring.

James Graham (voiceover):

“What a moment! Ambassador Patrick Ford is heading to Parade of Champions, and with Judge Joe Ridge by his side, he’s shown he’s not alone in his fight against the Foreign Legion!”

Conway Marshall (voiceover):

“But Cody Montana will be waiting for him, and you know Slim Elroy will have his own plans in mind!”

The show closes with Ford and Ridge celebrating in the ring as the Foreign Legion glares from the stage, plotting their next move.
